Can you simply call the N95 a mobile phone? Not really. This mini handheld computer is one hell of a device that is a camcorder, PDA, music player- all in one! The look and features of this handset sets it apart from the horde of other high-end mobiles that have been brought out to counter this jewel of electronic wizardry. How successful they will be is yet to be seen. However, the success of N95 is there for all to see.
The 2 way sliding mechanism is one unique feature of this handset. You can choose to slide between a conventional keypad or touch sensitive arrangement of player controls. The camera feature in the N95 is something that is exceptional and makes the manufacturers of stand alone digital cameras a run for their money. The 5 mega pixel beast exceeds the performance of all its predecessors, including the N93i snapshooter. It features a Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus that provides users with exceptional quality pictures, irrespective of the poor light conditions. The LED flash accomplishes this task to perfection. A secondary camera is also available for video telephony.
The Nokia 95 provides great resolution and clarity during playback on MPEG-4 format. The sound quality it delivers is simply astonishing. The Google Earth-like GPS service is another USP of this astonishing product by Nokia. You can download maps of more than 100 countries, moreover, it is even adept at giving you directions whenever you need them. This is a paid service though and depends on the network provider that you have chosen.
Whether the Nokia N95 will be able to withstand the direct competition with Apple iPhone is yet to be seen. Nevertheless, the popularity this phone enjoys, and the market segment that it has already captured in short span of time is something that is unprecedented.
