The most recent addition to the N-Series range, is the Nokia N82 - plugged by Nokia as a journalists dream phone due to its high resolution video recording from the sharp shooting camera.
It has a top quality 5 megapixel camera, with autofocus, Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss Lens. The large TFT display doubles as the camera viewfinder. This is a 3G phone with HSDPA for high speed data downloads and WiFi for connecting to your home network or to wireless hotspots. The N82 supports Bluetooth 2.0 which allows for wireless streaming of music with a compatible Bluetooth headset. There is also a GPS sat nav and the Nokia Maps application built in.
The Nokia N95 8GB is bigger brother to the N95 with new features, technology and design.
It has a larger screen – now 2.8 inches instead of the 2.6 found in the previous model, 8 gigabites of memory, an improved and larger battery life and is finished in black. With a 2-way slide mechanism, a numeric keypad slides out from one end while dedicated media keys slide out from the opposite direction, converting the display into full screen landscape mode. With built-in GPS and Nokia Maps application you can locate your current position at any time, find specific routes or locate services such as restaurants and hotels and covering more than 15 million points of interest. The 5 megapixel camera is one of the best cameras ever seen in a mobile phone and the N95 has a TV out port, enabling users to easily view photos and videos on a TV screen. The N95 is a 3G phone, which means fast web browsing, video streaming and music downloads.
Comparing these two high specification phones concludes that they are very different offerings, the Nokia N82 is a smaller device that is ideal for snapping quick and easy pictures aswell as short video clips in high definition. The Nokia N95 8Gb is an alrounder, its musical capabilities, large screen and double slide make for a phone that can do just about anything.
If you need to deicide between the N82 or N95 8GB it is very much down to your needs, do you want a camera focussed phone ot a phone that will provide you with everything but is a larger device?
We suspect both of these models will interest many readers and choosing a winner will be difficult, if you don't mind the bulk of the N95 8GB and think that you will use all if the features then this could be the one for you, however if you are fussy about the size and style of your handset then the Nokia N82 is the one.
Both mobile phones are now available on contract and pay as you go - more decisions? Sorry.
